    The Explorer Collection 150 x 150mm ND64 Nano IR 1.8 Neutral Density Filter from NiSiis an ND filter with a 1.8 filter factor that provides a 6-stop exposure reduction. Its 1.8 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing the use of a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing the exposure time or increasing the aperture, the depth of field may be controlled more precisely, and longer shutter speeds add blur and convey a sense of movement more easily. Neutral density filters are intended to not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.This filter is made of tempered, hardened B270 optical glass, and features layers of nano multicoating on both surfaces for optimal imaging. Due to digital imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light when compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times.
